Oh Paris life..

Topshop to Oslo

Finally the moment all norwegian girls have been waiting for.. Topshop is at last opening in Oslo! Kate Moss' fabulous collection is said to be available in stores for us poor, until now left out norwegians in 2010. Only a couple of months ago, Norway got listed as one of Topshop's shipping countries, and the whole female population went crazy. I can't imagine the lines that'll appear outside Topshop's doors on the opening day..

My question to Topshop is where have you been all this time? Did you just figure out there's a small country in the north you simply forgot? Trying to make up for it by promising 4 more stores in the following years? Well, in that case - it worked. Apology for forgetting us accepted! I can't wait to queue for hours in order to get my share of Kate Moss Topshop holiness.

Oslo Fashion Week 2009

The biker jacket by FIN

Oslo Fashion Week 2009 has officially begun! The opening show were held in the fabulous new opera house next to Oslofjorden, and the place was filled with Norwegian celebrities and fashion people. The show contained everything from singing to dance to fashion, and although it was a bit commercialized it was a real spectacle! Pictures can be found in every Norwegian newspaper today.

The winner of this seasons competition "Nåløyet", where the best Norwegian designers get to present a few pieces each, was FIN. And what's cool is that not only is this a cool Norwegian brand, they are actually selling clothes in 13 countries and they only uses ecological materials. And as a proof of their high fashion status, Kate Moss owns the biker jacket that was shown at the catwalk yesterday.

What Will Kate Moss Do?

Recently there's been a lot of questions about Kate Moss' future. Will she continue to work as a model? Yes, most certainly. Even though she has passed the normal age of retirement for models she still look gorgeous, so really why shouldn't she? I can only see one reason for her quitting modeling. Maybe she wants to do other stuff instead..? She has already proven herself as a designer, and also a musician on Babyshambles track La Belle Et Le Bete and Primal Scream's song Some Velvet Morning. In fact, Kate's boyfriend the Kills' guitarist, Jamie Hince, gave her a piano for her birthday. Or maybe will she try acting? Kate is said to be discussing possible project with famous Hollywood director Michael Figgis.

Back from London

London was great! So much to do and so much to see, but so little time... I did not by far get to do all the stuff I wanted to! I was there with my friend just for the week-end plus Monday. Basically we just hung out in the city the whole time, not doing much special. I got to meet up with the people I was going to see, and I think I've had about a hundred Starbucks coffees and muffins... Not good... Is that part of our Kate Moss lifestyle? Absolutely not! So from now on it's back to my salad eating habits (which I actually enjoy very much!).

London calling

Time to go to... London! I am so excited! I love to travel, and now it's been over six months since my last visit in London, the very home of our favorite celebrity! London has so much great stuff to offer, I'm so looking forward to walk in Hyde Park, coffee at Starbuck (Yes, we still don't have Starbucks in Norway..) shop in Kingston High Street, go to museums (Tate Modern or National Gallery this time?), go to concerts or clubs (haven't really decides where yet) and hang out with my friends and little sis (god, I envy her so much for living there every day!). My options are endless in a city like London! I must say I still prefer Paris, but London is a close number two!

Even though I haven't really figured out everything I want to do yet, one thing is for sure. I am going to do vintage shopping. Soooo much more fun in London than Oslo! And I'm not the only one that has a thing for vintage pieces. Although Kate shops a bit more fancy (and expensive!) pieces than I do, she too stared doing markets and smal stores in Portobello Road. When I was in London the last time I went into this really overfilled little shop, "One of a Kind". And on a board by the entry there were pictures of a young Kate Moss everywhere! Too bad I didn't take any photos of it for my blog when I was there... Maybe I'll do it this time if I pas the Shop!

I'm only going to be gone for the week-end, so I'll give you an update on what I actually did next week! And, one last question if anyone sees it before I leave... Where do you just have to go when you're in London?
